It's worth noting that 95% of baby bottles on the market are also plastic, so our materials are not unusual - the difference is that our pouch is lighter, more portable, and designed for single-use safety.

While the pouch is not biodegradable, we are working to make it 100% recyclable. We're partnering with a specialized third-party recycling company that can tailor recycling specifically for our pouch materials. As part of this effort, we plan to launch a take-back program: parents will be able to mail in their used pouches, and we'll ship them to our recycling partner for proper processing.

Yes like all infant formulas (0-12 months) worldwide, ours contains seed oils.

This is because the FDA has strict nutrient requirements under 21 CFR 107, which mandate that infant formulas provide essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). The only practical and currently approved way to meet these requirements is through the use of certain seed oils, such as sunflower or rapeseed. The same standards apply in Europe and across the globe, which is why there are no seed-oil-free infant formulas anywhere in the world.

By contrast, toddler formulas (12 months and up) are less strictly regulated. They do not undergo the same pre-market approval process, which is why some toddler formulas on the market may avoid seed oils - but this option does not exist for infant formulas.

Each ALUBaby pouch is designed to be single-use only. This is an important safety feature once the internal seal is broken and the formula is mixed with water, the pouch should be used right away and then discarded.

Each ALUBaby pouch has a 12-month shelf life from the date of manufacture. This timeframe is carefully validated to meet FDA requirements for infant formula safety and nutrition.

Yes, the pouch can be safely warmed up before feeding.

We are currently developing a portable formula pouch warmer travel device (concept image coming soon) to make warming on-the-go even easier. In the meantime, you can warm the pouch using the same simple method parents already use with traditional bottles: by placing it in hot water for 2-3 minutes, then testing the formula temperature before feeding your baby.

Because the pouch has an aluminum foil layer in its construction, it naturally acts as a heat conductor:
- It quickly transfers heat to the formula inside.
- It does not retain heat itself, so the pouch remains safe to handle.

There are two simple ways to check pouch integrity:
 1. Soft Squeeze Test – Gently press the bottom half of the pouch. A proper seal will create pressure that pushes back against your hand. If instead it feels like the liquid is "swishing back and forth," it means the middle seal has already been broken.
2. Tamper-Evident Cap - Each pouch also includes a tamper-evident cap and indicator. If the cap seal is broken, it provides a clear visual sign that the pouch has been opened or disturbed.

Currently, our pouches have an aluminum exterior layer. This protects the formula from sunlight, which can degrade nutrients and minerals, ensuring your baby always receives the highest quality feed.

That said, we are already working on a solution: a transparent pouch that will be individually sealed inside an aluminum wrapper. The wrapper will carry all the labeling and print, and when you're ready to feed, you simply tear it open and reveal the clear pouch inside. This way you'll be able to see the contents while still maintaining full protection and freshness.

We are a small family-owned business, and our mission is to bring a healthier, more convenient Ready-to-Feed formula to the U.S. market for busy parents.
